Major reconfiguration of the third floor of Newham University Hospital’s Gateway Centre to provide two state of the art orthopaedic theatres with laminar airflow technology. The phased programme of works included moving the Colposcopy Department to new refurbished premises in the main hospital building, creating new staff facilities, patient reception and waiting areas and clinical stores. New plant was installed on the roof and a new electrical supply was fed through the building whilst the two adjacent theatres and ancillary rooms remained in use throughout the works
