Iain Wadham - Previous Practice
58-72 Marylebone Lane
2017 - London UK
A development of 14 laterally-arranged apartments and re-configured retail units delivered by Iain Wadham through ESA architects for The Howard de Walden Estate, to BREEAM excellent. Serviced from now two cores, the 8 Victorian plots were extensively rebuilt whilst keeping as much historic fabric as possible under planning requirements. This resulted in a complex spread of construction build-ups across differing building levels to meet current acoustic performances and to accommodate full-house ventilation. Those challenges were compounded by a parallel build sequence with the development at 66 Wigmore Street, with inevitable scaffold and delivery programme complexities.
